Synopsis
After the Black Corsairs, aboard the Tigress, boarded a Stygian ship, Conan and Bêlit found a snow-skinned girl in the captain's cabin. Returning to their base in the Silver Isles, they were faced by a rebellion led by Ghomli,[3] and were forced to flee southwards, in the Frozen Land, into Leng and within the Mountains of Madness,[4] where the snow-skins dwelt among the ruins of the cities of the Old Ones, fearful of the "Death That flows", the bane of the Old Ones.[5]

Notes

Howard, and concepts from "At the Mountains of Madness" (Astounding Stories; February, March, and April, 1936) by H.P. Lovecraft and "The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym" (July, 1838; published by Harper & Brothers; previously uncompletely serialized in the Southern Literary Messenger) by Edgar Allan Poe, and the Conclusion "Within the Mountain of Madness", in Conan the Savage #4 (November, 1995), credited as featuring characters created by Robert E. Howard and concepts H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe.
- In Conan Saga #76 (July, 1993), in the Conan Comics Chronology, Roy Thomas announced a forthcoming graphic novel "Conan and the Stalkers of the Snows", as part of Conan and Bêlit's adventures before the tragic events of Conan the Barbarian #100.[7] Instead, it was published more than two years later, in Conan the Savage (a black-and-white magazine considered by Roy Thomas as the "successor" "in many ways" of Savage Sword of Conan which ended with issue Vol 1 235 (July, 1995);[8] from Conan the Savage #2 to 4 (September to November, 1995), as ("The")[4] "Stalker of the Snows"[1][2] (also the name of part 1),[3] and in Conan the Savage #4, as ("The")[6] "Stalkers of the Snows".[5]
