History

The Themex is one of the Hex, the six Eternal war machines. The nature of the Hex means that the Themex has spent the vast majority of her life in stasis. The Machine referred to another member of the Hex, Syne, as a "million-year-old teenager".

When Druig became Prime Eternal, he declared the mutants of Krakoa to be enemies of the Eternals, and activated the Hex to attack them.

As an Eternal, the Themex is powered by cosmic energy stored in her cells. This grants her superhuman attributes and virtual immortality.

Furthermore, as one of the Hex, the Themex is a massive and monstrous being, capable of unique levels of destruction. The Themex has been specifically described as an "orbital annihilator".
