Thieves Guild is one of the New Orleans warring Guilds. Gambit of the Acolytes was a former member. He was stolen as a baby and raised by Jean-Luc LeBeau. All members are trained to be master thieves. Gambit kidnapped Rogue of the X-Men in an attempt to manipulate her into helping him rescue his adoptive father. after he was kidnapped by the Rippers the Assassins Guild. Gambit after the rescue he soon becomes protective of Rogue once he notices his fathers amazement of her mutant abilities.
