History

"Fingers" Haney was a profession thief who served his time and supposedly went legit. Moon Knight reportedly blackmailed him into working for his Shadow Cabinet network of informants, however, suggesting Haney's criminal activities may have continued. He mostly provided planning and infiltration support for Moon Knight's missions, such as plotting a way into the Latverian Embassy or Brinkstone Prison.

Herb and Sheila Hollister, the Harlequin Hit-Man, killed him after being brainwashed by the Ghost in the Telephone.

Notes

• Another Thomas Haney appeared in Web of Spider-Man #113, also by Terry Kavanagh, as a scientist who was killed. No apparent connection exists between the two. Apparently Kavanagh just liked the name.
