History

Thrann was the first of the Gods of Zenn-La who brought light to Zenn-La and was the keeper of the Zenn-Lavian belief system. Thrann was the one credited with leading Zenn-la down the path of pure science and tought the early Zenn-Lavians a materialistic manner of viewing substances in life that involved believing only what they could see and to examine everything down to the last iota.

Thrann's efforts turned Zenn-La into a paradise, but had the effect of causing the Zenn-Lavians to stop believing in him and his fellow gods due to the primitive and un-materialistic nature of believing in deities in their technological society.

Thrann's and the other gods' attempts to reconnect with the Zenn-Lavians miracles were ruined when the Zenn-Lavians analyzed each miracle in such detail and developed a rational explanation for them. It was when Galactus came to consume Zenn-La that they finally prayed for help, to which the Gods did not answer due to anger at being abandoned. It was only when Thrann had learned from the sacrifice of the Silver Surfer how to truly be a god and tried to rally the other gods against the threat of Mikaboshi when he threatened to consume the pantheon of Zenn-La. When Mikaboshi attacked, Thrann attempted to sacrifice himself to save his fellow deities and the Zenn-Lavian people. Thrann's efforts were in vain and Mikaboshi took all the Gods of Zenn-La into himself while forcing Thrann to become his herald.[1]
