  • Please note: there is currently no source placing any charactes other than Gwendolyn Stacy (Earth-617) onto the Council of Spider-Women (Multiverse). Adding other versions of Spider-Gwen to it is simply speculation. Thank you. HBK123 (talk) 04:44, November 4, 2019 (UTC)

    • Not quite. In Spider-Gwen Vol 2 #31, Charlotte Morales-Stacy tells Utaa and Utau that all super-powered incarnations of Gwen Stacy - including her mother - are members of the Council of Spider-Women, and that the organization routinely meets at her mother's house.

    • I have re-read the issue and this is not how I interpreted it. The Council is only namedropped by Utaa once and what Charlotte says is that other Gwens visit their house all the time, with no mention of the Council. Could you point me to the specific page and panel?

I think it's page 15 - but my understanding of that dialogue was that the "we" they were discussing - the gathering of Gwens that meets at Gwen-8's house - was clearly meant to refer to the Council of Spider-Women.

    • Okay, I found that line you were referring to and I concur to your point about Gwen-08. I still think it is an unreasonable stretch to assume other unnamed characters such as Spider-Guin are involved, unless it is explicitly stated so on the page though.

    • Yeah, I read it as Gwen-617 and Gwen-8 being the only two specifically named, any others would be speculation of what exactly "all the other Gwens" means, when we already know it doesn't mean Gwen-65, so it's clearly not actually all.

    • Gwen-617 seems to count Gwen-65 as a member, given her response to Utaa asking why they didn't take part in the Totem War.

    • It's a temporal paradox, but the Council shouldn't have even existed during the Totem War as it wasn't founded until after Gwen-65 first went to Earth-617; however, Gwen-617 and by extension, the Council, was noting that Gwen-65's involvement was akin to the Council having taken part regardless, since it was Gwen-65 who inspired their creation, and they did travel back in time to stop Gwen-65 from killing the Kingpin.

Also, if Gwen-65 was part of Gwen-617's Council, their meeting in #30 would surely have played out very differently, not to even mention how different Charlotte's reaction to Gwen-65 would have been in #18 had Gwen-65 and the Council been meeting at Gwen-8's house all along.

    • In other words, confusing space-time shenanigans are confusing, especially if poorly explained or not elaborated upon.
