The Thunder River served as the border between civilized Aquilonia and the Pictish Wilderness as it flowed from Cimmeria through the Goralian Hills and separated Westermarck from Conajohara,[1][2] before being joined by the River Shirki at Poitain and passing through Zingara and Argos where it emptied into the Western Ocean.[1] A tributary flowed into the Thunder River from the mountain lake Aoi, upon which shores was the city of Valdover, set at the foot of the Trigong Spire in the Rabirian Mountains. Valdover used it to export their Wyrm Ale.[3]
History
On their way to Cascan, Conan, Delmurio, and Tetra were attacked by a bunch of fishermen who had resorted to banditry because of the civil war in Zingara. After defeating them, they reached the fishing village and sailed downriver to Argos.[4]
