The Badoon child who would be known as Tiberius was found by Star-Lord as one of the prisoners in a Badoon ship along with Claus Carmody.
With the help of the hologram communication of Shadowcat, Star-Lord created a distraction and took the gun from the Badoon guarding their cell. The three prisoners escaped, but Claus soon left them as he worked better alone.
The Badoon child directed Star-Lord to a sewage shaft, which took them to a spaceship they would use to escape. Claus infiltrated and proposed to leave the Badoon behind, as it could carry only two people. Star-Lord kicked Carmody out and left with the Badoon kid.
Star-Lord left the now-called Tiberius (in honor of the Star Trek character James Tiberius Kirk) in a orphanage he had previously helped.[1]
