Synopsis
After Black Widow goes missing after a mission in New York, she is reborn months later as Natalie Grey: a successful architect living her perfect life in Sausalito with her fiancé James and her son Stevie. But Natalie soon discovers skills and abilities she is unfamiliar with, from her original life as Black Widow. Meanwhile, Clint and Bucky get help from Yelena to find out how and why Natasha ended up in suburbia, debating if they should bring her back to her previous life.
In the shadows, a consortium of Natasha's adversaries are responsible for her new, happy life as a way of keeping her out of their affairs. However, the Weeping Lion grows impatient and breaks the group's plan to hold back by beginning a warpath to kill Black Widow by destroying those she loves- the only problem being Black Widow's murderous fury. As Natalie kills mercenaries and moves to save her family, she remembers her true life and exfiltrates with help from her friends.
With the final offensive with her enemies, Natasha and friends end the threat at hand, but also has Bucky fake James and Stevie's deaths. With the loves of her short happy life now somewhere safe even where she cannot know, Natasha remakes her operation in San Francisco, changing her methodology to honor the memory of James and Stevie, partnered by Yelena.
