History
On Earth-7918, a world where the human race reached the stars in the early 1900's, Timothy Dugan had a vastly different history than his Earth-616 counterpart. In this reality, Dugan was a circus strong man until Earth entered into conflict against the Betans on December of 1941, would not be involved in the interplanetary conflict between Alpha and Beta sectors of space. He was selected by Captain Sam Sawyer to be a member of the Howling Commandos. Sawyer died in combat bringing the group their field commander Nick Fury, who led the group thereafter. Although the group used unconventional weapons and were constantly goofing off (much to the chagrin of Fury), they became a close knit fighting force.
Under the command of a computer, Dum Dum and the Howlers were assigned to defend Space Station Midway where the next attack by the Betans was believed to be staged. The Howlers soon learned that the station's Admiral Strucker was a traitor to the Alphan military, hoping that the Betans would allow his home country of Germany to take dominion over the Earth. While Fury fought Strucker to the death, Dugan and the others rounded up his followers. Upon learning that his friend Red Hargrove was shot down in space combat, Dugan and the Howlers disobeyed orders to rescue Hargrove.
Although they were reprimanded for disobeying orders, Dugan and the others were commended for a job well done.[1] While Dugan is likely still active with the Howling Commandos, his subsequent activities remain unrevealed.
