Reprint of the 1st story from
Fantastic Four #89
Blinded by devices implanted in their house by the Mole Man, the Fantastic Four try to stop him without their vision. As the clumsy battle rages on, a fleet of four Skrull starships stealthily approach the far side of Earth's Moon, having come on a mission to find and collect a warrior which they can take from the planet for the Games.

Back at the Richards' home, the FF continue to struggle to fight the Mole Man, who reveals that his plot will eventually blind the entire world as revenge for being treated as an outcast. When Reed gets hold of the Mole Man, he takes a near fatal blast from Mole Man's staff. A stray blast from the same staff also damages the device that makes the FF blind. Enraged by what the Mole Man did to Reed, Sue lashes out at him.

The Mole Man manages to get away, however, but is soon caught by the Human Torch and brought back. The Torch berates the Mole Man for wallowing in his misery and not facing his problems like the Thing or Alicia Masters. With Ben's help, Reed revives and recovers from the attack. As the FF settle down after the fight, a single Skrull craft touches down on Earth.

Quote1 Someone's gotta invade AIM--single-handed--and save that gal! Know where I can git me a volunteer--Cap? Quote2
Nick Fury

After returning from a mission with S.H.I.E.L.D., Captain America (in his civilian guise of Steve Rogers) reports back with the Avengers back at Avengers Mansion. While this is happening deep in the ocean aboard a secret AIM submarine, Agent-13 is attempting to prove to the members of AIM that she is loyal to them and that their target will be at a designated barbershop for them to assassinate.

Meanwhile, Steve Rogers is on his way back to Avengers Mansion on foot, lost in his thoughts when he notices an AIM android springing to life and attacking Nick Fury at a nearby barber shop. Fearing the worst, Steve changes into Captain America and stops the android from killing Nick. Defeating it, the creature dissolves leaving no trace behind.

Afterward, Fury scolds Cap for getting involved because the attack on Fury was all part of a S.H.I.E.L.D. ruse to get a hold of one of AIM's robots. Now fearing that Agent-13's cover has been blown, Fury tells Cap that somebody is going to have to free her from AIM's clutches... This story is continued next issue.

Synopsis for "Angels from Hell!"

Reprint of the 1st story from
Marvel Spotlight #6
While roaming the streets at night, Ghost Rider is confronted and later chased by a group of bikers called Satan's Saints. With no option but to fight them, the Ghost Rider easily defeats them, however their leader a man named Curly offers Ghost Rider membership in the club, needing a place to stay for the night, Ghost Rider agrees.

At the Satan's Saints' hideout, Ghost Rider is mesmerized into telling Curly how he became the Ghost Rider. After recounting the events that led to his current predicament, Ghost Rider passes out. Curly prepares a sacrifice and summons Satan, who reveals Curly to be the reincarnation of Crash Simpson, who has promised to bring the soul of Johnny Blaze in order to be restored to life. However, this proves impossible as Roxanne Simpson's pure love for Johnny prevents the ritual from commencing. Satan orders Crash to take the soul of his daughter, before changing him back into Curly and leaving.

Changing back into Johnny Blaze in the morning, Johnny returns to the arena where Roxanne's next show is taking place and promises her that he will tell her what's going on before falling asleep. He wakes up at night when he once more transforms into the Ghost Rider. Curly is there waiting for him to "warn" him that Satan's Saints are going to attack the show and try to kidnap Roxanne. Rushing into the show, Ghost Rider thwarts the attempt (which the audience believes is part of the show) and afterwords decides that he is too much of a danger to Roxanne and leaves. Left alone with Curly, Roxanne is knocked out and Curly picks up her unconscious body to begin the sacrifice ritual.
