History
Tokugawa Ieyasu was a warlord in Japan.
The Shogun Tokugawa was one of the warlords who brought Japan's civil wars to an end, become its ruler.
In 1603, he relocated Japan's capital to Edo (modern-day Tokyo) and forced Japan into isolation from virtually all outside influence.[1]
In 1615, he was protected Albert and Grace of the Clan Destine during a coup.[2]
The shogunate government would last until 1868 and the ascension of the Meji Emperor.[1]Notes
