History
Tooby was a member of the amphibian race of the Tubanti and was close friends with Matty Plunder, the son of Ka-Zar and Zahmis of the tailed Tree People. These three would regularly play in the jungles of the Savage Land.[1]
While they were playing, Zahmis tells her friends that someone had burned the forest, and their friend Rucha replied that her mom had told her that whoever did would plant more trees and produce food, even though her friends didn't believe her and when Tooby asked her where the food was coming from, she replied that his mom had told him it was complicated to explain.[2]
The tribe had to abandon their waters due to the oil pollution caused by the Roxxon "Pangean Horizon" oil rig accident. While the tribe tried to be hosted by some other tribe, Tooby happily continued to play with Matthew.[3]
