History

Torbert Octavius was the abusive father of Otto Octavius. He disapproved of his son's love for science, saying that it was useless. Torbert believed that strength was the only thing the world understood and wanted Otto to be "normal" like the other kids. He also told Otto that life gave him the power.

Personality

Unlike Ben Parker who was supportive of Peter's pursuit of science, Torbert saw science as a meaningless endeavour and used brute force against his own son. He believes that physical prowess is all that matters in the world.
