Synopsis for "The Ghost-Beast!"
Beowulf plans to invade the city of Vanaria with his band of Vandals when one of his men goes mad. Once he investigates the forest in which his man came from he spots a maiden tied to a tree. She explains that she's a sacrifice for a Beast-God whom's appearance causes madness. Beowulf frees the maiden and slays the creature. He returns to Vanaria and is heralded as a hero but Beowulf's greed has him overthrow the King of Vanaria. Once the King is dead he spots a glowing ring he wants but the Princee Ulana takes it and jumps from the castle walls into the moat. Some time later the ghost of the God-Beast returns and causes madness among Beowulf's men. His men betray him and tie Beowulf to a tree for sacrifice to appease the Beast-God. Ulana comes to him and gives Beowulf the ring to use to fight and slay the beast. Beowulf does just that but learns that Ulana betrayed him and that the reason he was able to kill the ghost was that he himself is now a ghost because the ring was coated in poison and killed him. Beowulf's ghost now haunts the ruins of Vanaria.

Notes
- While "Man in the Rat Hole!" is a reprint of "Worm Man" from Strange Tales #78 it removes any mention of calling the main character "Worm Man" and instead he is just referred to as a spy.
- "Contact!" is reprinted in Supernatural Thrillers #11, Son of Satan #8, and Monsters Unleashed #3.
- Though the era's setting isn't clearly explained, "the dark centuries between the Final Cataclysm and the beginning of the recorded history" could be either the era following the Great Cataclysm and the Lesser Cataclysm (including the Age of Acheron and the Hyborian Age), or the era following the Post-Hyborian Cataclysm, with the Nortern Isles being the British Isles created in said cataclysm.
