—Pat MulliganI'm a decent guy. Used to be a cop. Now I've got a crazy symbiote using me as a host. However hard I try to educate it, whatever I do to bring it up properly, it misbehaves. And it brings out the worst in me. It's destroying me. What do I do? What's the answer?

Synopsis for "The Devil You Know Part 3: The Answer, My Friend"
At first, instead of Toxin releasing himself, he transformed into a new alter ego named Larry as "neutral territory" for both of them to "feel at home with", but after coming out after Pat begged him to, Razor-Fist was frightened and ran away, abandoning his followers, also injuring Lulu while doing so. Later, in their Larry alter ego, Pat and Toxin observed the former's family at a park. When Pat and Toxin witnessed a young officer with a family get gunned down, they attacked the killer, as the former imagined the officer's children growing up without him.
Pat and Toxin also learned that the Answer had robbed a bank, they found him at a bar with his sidekick before Pat told the Answer about Toxin and asked for the answer to stop him from misbehaving in exchange for them both getting on with their lives. However, the Answer still ended up in Ryker's Island even after giving him an answer: go to a subway station, wait until he saw a train coming, and jump in front of it.
Solicit Synopsis
- They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and when the apple is a young, whacked-out alien symbiote named Toxin, and the tree is Carnage, then it’s time to duck and cover!
- Unfortunately, former officer Pat Mulligan can’t do that, since Toxin’s sharing his body! Time to talk about the facts of life and explain the complex difference between right and wrong. But who could possibly help him with all the complicated questions?
- Featuring another villain escaped from the New Avengers breakout – The Answer!
Trivia
- The title of the story is most likely a reference to the lyrics from Bob Dylan's song "Blowin' in the Wind."
