Synopsis for "Divided We Fall (Part 4)"
The text describes several parallel storylines taking place in different locations. In the Pit, the Joes are investigating the theft of a black box, which they believe was stolen by a hitchhiker seen by Skidmark. However, their investigation is interrupted by the arrival of General Hollingsworth, who warns Hawk that the theft may be used against him by his superiors and suggests sending a recon team to Cobra Island to gather information.
Meanwhile, on Cobra Island, the Star-Viper returns with the black box and is welcomed by Serpentor. However, their celebration is interrupted by an argument between Serpentor and Cobra Commander, which turns into a fight. The black box is ultimately taken by Dr. Mindbender, who prepares for the upcoming civil war.
Hawk and his team, along with a recon team, travel to the U.S.S. Flagg to plan their mission to infiltrate Cobra Island. Admiral Keel-Haul warns them that Cobra has increased its defenses since their last amphibious insertion.
Back on Cobra Island, the civil war has begun, and Serpentor's forces are outnumbered by those loyal to Cobra Commander. Mindbender suggests using the black box as a bargaining chip with the U.S. government, and Fred VII and Baroness spy on their conversation. The Joes' recon team is dropped onto the island, where they are observed by Captain Minh.
Lastly, in the Caribbean, Destro is training Iron Grenadiers on a freighter and learns about the civil war on Cobra Island. He believes his spies can give them an advantage, and they may be able to take over without firing a shot.Notes
