History

Former captain in the United States Marine Corps in 1972, Castle served for five years in the Vietnam War. For his heroism, Castle was twice decorated with the Bronze Star and the Silver Star and four times with the Purple Heart. When his wife and children were killed by the Mafia, Castle declared a war on the Mafia. While laid dying in the streets from wounds, he was found by Diana Prince. Diana nursed him back to health.

The two later married and had a son together named Kanto. Diana and Castle split up soon afterward. The former couple later reunited, though, as a result of their son's kidnapping by the minions of Thanoseid.
