Trista Marshall was a young mutant who befriended Kitty Pryde after being denied entry at a concert she had paid for. Pryde had to use her powers to protect her from the guards and, after taking her home, she became Trista's personal idol.[2]

The two remained in contact, and, in the following days, Trista persistently texted Pryde, eager to become her mentee and learn from the veteran mutant. After rescuing two other young mutants, Thao Tran and Alex Luna, Pryde saw an opportunity to help Trista find friends her own age, and introduced her to Thao and Alex.[4]

Metal Mimicry: Trista Marshall can transform her skin into a bronze-like metal that's almost as strong as adamantium. Once she's transformed, she's also capable of extending retractable cables from her body.[2][5]

  • Superhuman Strength: In her bronze-metal state, Trista possesses some degree of superhuman strength. She is strong enough to punch a large demon beast, tie it with her retractable cables and hurl it back to its original dimension.[3] She is also capable of crushing bloodhounds with one blow.[6]
  • Superhuman Durability: In her bronze-metal form, Trista has a high degree of imperviousness to injury and physical attacks.[7]

Abilities

  • Hand-to-Hand Combat: Trista is quite proficient in hand-to-hand combat since she and her two friends received training from Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost as their mentors.[8]
