History

The True Believers are the Human inhabitants of the Lighthouse who believe in the Seer's prophecy about the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. coming from the past to save them from the oppressive rule of the Kree Watch.[1]

Timeline

  • Following Earth-TRN676's destruction in the year 2018, the Human survivors in the Lighthouse were enslaved by the Kree who arrived in the year 2022. Robin Hinton, known as "the Seer",[2] shared her visions that some day the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would come from the past to save the Humanity. Having zero tolerance of dissent, the Kree fed everyone associated with the movement to the Vrellnexians, forcing them to exist in secret.[1]
  • Around 2080, the Kree leader Kasius cracked down on the True Believers, killing all known known Elders or exiling them to the inhospitable surface of the Earth to be killed by Vrellnexians. Deke Shaw's mother was killed, but his father Owen Shaw and Robin Hinton among others survived on the surface for over a decade inside the downed Zephyr One.[2]
  • In 2091 the remaining True Believers completed their work on the time machine designed by Leopold Fitz. Owen Shaw and Virgil used the shard of the White Monolith to activate it,[2] bringing Phil Coulson, Melinda May, Jemma Simmons, Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie, Elena "Yo-Yo" Rodriguez and Daisy Johnson from the past of Earth-199999 into the Lighthouse. However, Virgil was then immediately killed by Vrellnexians, leaving the confused agents to survive on their own.[1]
  • The eventually escaped from Kasius and reached to remains of the Zephyr One along with Leopold Fitz and Enoch, as well as Deke Shaw. Believing that he needed to stop them from returning to their time and destroying the Earth, Sam Voss killed Robin Hinton.[2]
  • The agents then subdued Voss and handed him over to his own people to hide inside the cave network below, while they repaired Zephyr One and used it to return to the Lighthoude by space,[3] where they killed the remaining Kree and fulfilled the prophecy, before returning to their own time.[4]
