History

According to the (potentially biased) description by Skeletron, the sole known surviving witness of these events, species of a biomechanical nature -including intelligent species, such as Skeletron's- had been as numerous as organic ones in bygone times. The biomechanical species created the Turgentine Technenium, which became an interstellar empire of immense power.

Eventually, the Technenium declared war on all the organic species. The Technenium was defeated and decimated through means lost to time. Surviving technoorganics like Skeletron gathered to create a more modest would-be conquering armada: the Black Fleet, which was also destroyed in more recent times, leaving Skeletron as the only known survivor.
