The Twilight Sword, also known as the Sword of Doom, was reforged by the Fire Giant Surtur using the "Burning Galaxy" (created by exploding the home galaxy of the Korbinites), with the life force of the planets in it powering the sword, to set the universe afire.

History

It was used as a power source by Loki and Morgan Le Fay.

Apparently the broken Twilight was retrieved and stored in the armory of Asgard.

Beta Ray Bill claims Twilight

After his last defeat at the hands of the Asgardians, a repaired Twilight Sword appeared at the deepest level of Muspelheim, alongside a resurrected Surtur, unable to escape that part of the realm. Twilight deemed Surtur unworthy of it, and left him waiting for a warrior to prove his worthiness to the sword. Beta Ray Bill reached the level of the sword to claim it, but was stopped by Surtur. After a fight between Surtur and Bill, the Korbinite claimed Twilight and used it to slay Surtur and return to his mortal form. Twilight was later placed in a containment unit on Skuttlebutt. Later, Bill used Twilight to fight the God of Hammers.

Properties

The sword was capable of channeling Surtur's fiery powers.
