Synopsis
What began as a discussion between veteran writer Peter David, Marvel Enterprises Chief Operating Officer Bill Jemas, and Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada concerning editorial, pricing, and marketing issues surrounding David's Captain Marvel has become one of the most anticipated Marvel publishing events of the year: "U-Decide!", the eagerly awaited showdown that will let readers choose which of three books will keep a room in the House of Ideas.
Those that followed the exchanges between the three men already know that they can expect three very different types of books to emerge from this unique challenge. Every book purchased will represent a vote for that title to continue as an ongoing series.[1]

Notes
- The original plans for U-Decide! involved the loser (the creator whose book received the least sales after 6 issues) would suffer a punishment:
- Joe Quesada would take a pie to the face.
- Bill Jemas would fall into a dunk tank.
- Peter David had no specific punishment as part of the event, but his long-running Captain Marvel book would be cancelled.[2]
- The results of the contest were to be given out at either Wizard World Chicago or Wizard World Philadelphia, after each book had reached six issues,[2] but no such event ultimately occurred.
