Synopsis for "Blade Versus the Avengers: Part Five of Part Six"

S.H.I.E.L.D. prepares their strike on the vampires. Among them ready is Perun. At the same time, Blade is incarcerated below the Triskelion as he can't be trusted until the situation is over.

In a flashback, Perun was captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. following the Liberators' defeat and his reason for surrendering was due to the fact that the nations that had supported the Liberators are now trying to erase any affiliation with them. Perun feared that if he returned to Russia he would be killed. Thanks to Gregory Stark, Perun is granted amnesty and becomes a member of the Avengers.

In the present, Perun arrives late for the preparation as midnight approaches. Hawkeye shares his concerns over Captain America to Nick Fury on whether they should treat him as a vampire, something which Fury expects. Gregory finally fixes the location of Anthony's armor, but shockingly learns that it is inside the Triskelion. Stick and Daredevil have subdued Tony Stark. Blade senses what is happening above and warns the guards that are watching him that the base is being invaded by vampires by the thousands. Outside, Hulk and his army engage S.H.I.E.L.D. and one of the Giant-Men is swarmed over. Perun fights the vampires outside and engages Captain America.

Back below, Blade's guards are in panic and he requests them to release him. Stick and Daredevil blast their way into Blade's location.

On the surface, Captain America prepares to bite Perun but he suddenly resists from doing so. This allows Perun to fight him off, but is then killed by the Hulk, who breaks his neck from behind. After throwing away Perun, Hulk demands to know where Fury is. One of the Giant-Men, Dave, now vampirized, points him to where Fury is.

Solicit Synopsis

The battle for blood gets thicker as the vampire frenzy comes to a head. With Cap fanged out, Fury brings out the big guns and some new recruits—newish, that is: Perun aka, Russian Thor and the Giant Men. While Blade’s ordered to stand down, the new vampire Nerd Hulk has powered up—and it looks like it’s going to take a lot more than a few Avengers to avenge these bloodsuckers. Mark Millar and Steve Dillon throw down a vampire tale like none other!
