Synopsis for "Maniac on the Loose"

Reprint of the 1st story from
Marvel Tales #111
(originally printed as I Can't Stop Changing!)

An ugly man is self-conscious about his looks so he uses a magic formula to turn himself into his ancestor, however the formula does not stop with just his father, and he finds himself taking on the appearance of millions of years of evolutionary predecessors. He reverts to a fish-like creature and the woman he loves, having since married another man, is out fishing with her husband. When she hauls her would-be lover out of the water she muses to herself that the creature reminds her of the man who was too shy to keep their date and, had he asked her, she would have married him.
