Synopsis for "I Was Locked In a Haunted House"
Lennie Carter moves into a neighborhood where the kids are obsessed with reading comic books that deal with the supernatural. Lennie scoffs at them declaring they contain a lot of hokum and that ghosts are not real. The kids challenge Lennie to spend an hour alone in the old Murdock Mansion. Lennie accepts their challenge and agrees to visit at midnight. He arrives at the abandoned mansion and goes inside. It isn’t long before Lennie runs into the mansions caretaker, Old Hank. He visits with Hank who assures Lennie that the mansion contains no ghosts. One A.M arrives and Lennie announces that he must leave. He says goodbye to Old Hank and goes back to meet the neighborhood kids. They inform Lennie that the house only appears at midnight and it is occupied by a ghost named Old Hank. Lennie turns around and sees that the mansion is no longer there. It was torn down in 1906. Lennie then announces that he is off to get some super natural comic books to catch up on his reading.
