Synopsis for "The Nature of Evil"
Gambit contemplates his past and the consequences of meeting Mister Sinister. He finds solace on the Xavier Institute's rooftop, where Storm joins him to discuss Rogue's absence.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hank McCoy presents at an exigency conference about the Legacy Virus, a virus affecting mutants, including Dr. Moira MacTaggert. Hank's presentation is openly questioned by Professor Xavier, who raises doubts about the virus's severity and calls for responsible reporting. Of course, Xavier's response was a concerted plan by the Professor and Hank. On Muir Island, Moira MacTaggert, Nightcrawler, Douglock and Meggan observe the events on television, also discussing the virus's true nature.
Back at the Xavier Institute, Boomer observes Sabretooth's behavior in the Danger Room. Suddenly, Gambit confronts the still amnesiac Sabretooth, making him face the consequences of his past actions through holographic images of his victims. Storm intervenes, and Gambit departs, leaving Sabretooth caged.
In San Francisco, Hank joins Xavier who has doubts about the decision to bring Sabretooth into the Institute. But Hank makes it clear that nobody wants to excuse the crimes Creed committted. If the X-Men cannot change Sabretooth's behavior, they at least have to make sure that he does not change theirs.
