Synopsis for "Tabula Rasa (Part 2)"

As the Immortal Man faces Magneto and Psylocke, the natives believe the X-Men to be false gods and that their appearance was a test to their faith, a test they failed. Although the natives believes the Immortal Man will forgive them, the Immortal Man kills one of the natives before attacking Magneto and Psylocke.

Magneto tries to use his magnetic powers, but the Immortal Man is unaffected. Magneto believes that the Immortal Man is not presently attacking them, due to some kind of dimensional twist. However, Magneto manages to deflect the Immortal Man's missiles. Psylocke calls Storm to request assistance, and Storm calls all available X-Men in the area, who respond to Storm's signals and go to assist Psylocke. However, Cyclops is not present and Psylocke asks what happened to him. Storm replies that he fell into some kind of trap, or at least she hopes it to be a trap, as she doesn't like the alternative.

Meanwhile, Cyclops awakens in large cocoon, alongside the local law enforcement agents who went to investigate Tabula Rasa before the X-Men arrive. The prisoners are watched by a mysterious creature, who an agent calls "savage." The savage suddenly reveals that he can understand the prisoners, and then pulls out a knife, wanting them to talk more.

Magneto and Psylocke continue fighting the Immortal Man. Magneto runs out of metal he can use to fight, so he uses his powers on his helmet, transforming it into several metal darts he then hurls to the Immortal Man, who is hit by the darts. However, the Immortal Man teleports and appears behind Magneto and Psylocke, and attacks them with a fire blast. Magneto and Psylocke barely manage to dodge the blast.

Suddenly, Danger, in her satellite form, pins the Immortal Man to the ground. However, the Immortal Man blasts her away. Storm arrives and blasts him with lightning bolts, so the Immortal Man retreats underground. As Magneto reforms his helmet and Danger recovers, Storm asks the teams for a situation report.

Colossus informs Storm that some animals have captured Magik and taken her to an underground cave. When Storm asks him if he needs help, Colossus declines and transforms into the Juggernaut, entering the cave.

Meanwhile on the river, Namor and Hope have defeated their enemies, but Namor states that the creatures will return. As they keep swimming across the lake, Namor says that the river has been the creatures's home for many years, but the creatures believe the river is a lake. Therefore, the creatures' home are not built to withstand a current. The creature believe Namor and Hope are enemies, so Namor suggest trying to reason with them.

Storm, Danger, Magneto and Psylocke prepare to continue looking for Cyclops, when suddenly, Cyclops and the mysterious creature that kidnapped him meet up with them. Cyclops explains that the creature is the one responsible for the kidnappings, but he is also sentient and does not want to hurt them. He also says that creature wants the kidnapped people to stay in his home so that they can be safe, and Cyclops agrees.

The creature explains that he and the Immortal Man were friends and members of the Apex, the highest-evolved species on the island. They were the Apex's best scientists, and had discovered that long, upcoming night on the island would soon cause an energy crisis. The two Apex scientists developed two different methods to solve this: while he wanted their species to build stasis-pods so that they could survive until the dawn, the Immortal Man favored escape and proposed going into the outside world. The Apex scientist was rejected for his perceived defeatist behavior, and secluded himself into the woods, building a stasis pod which he used to enter suspended animation.

Meanwhile, the Immortal Man was also rejected for his unorthodox plan, so he built a suit of armor so that he could enter the outside world. However, during his attempt, he was trapped in the boundary between the two worlds.

After thousands of years, the Apex scientist awoke from his sleep and discovered that his species had become desperate and decided to use the first scientist's plan to enter suspended animation, using their palace to store their stasis pods. However, during their time in stasis, the palace was enveloped in flora that began feeding on the palace's energy. The fauna also began consume the plants surrounding the palace. This eventually drained the palace of energy, slowly killing the Apex.

The time-boundary collapsed and the Immortal Man was freed. He entered the palace and discovered that the Apex had died, leaving him and the first scientist as the last of the Apex.

Cyclops asks what is the Immortal Man planning, and the Apex responds that he will return to the Apex's palace and try to find a way to restore his species. The scientist says that the plan will succeed, but there will be side-effects, and the Immortal Man will not care about them.

To be continued...
