Synopsis for "The Britannia Project, Part Two: Making Waves"

Ten months ago in Cardiff, Wales, The Choir (then-known as Skreem) flees from a police helicopter. She ducks into an alleyway and is confronted by a police officer who is knocked unconscious by Britannia, who offers a hand and volunteers to help Skreem. In the present day, Britannia is dead, and the news reports comment that a recent press conference had the UK government confirm that the Britannia Project is intended to defend Great Britain now that the country is no longer part of the Super Hero European Directive (S.H.E.D). The report is interrupted by the news of Britannia’s death; slain fighting some kind of alien dragon, but the remaining symbiotes destroy the camera as Union Jack reminds the team to engage non-lethally. While the water demon Kelpie and the hooded Snakes take the fight to the symbiotes, The Choir panics and tries to run. Captured by the symbiotes, her scream casts debris and symbiotes alike in all directions, and as Union Jack runs to assist her she strikes him down, revealing herself to be infected with a symbiote.

Twenty minutes later, Knull’s symbiotes have blacked out the sun and the symbiote forces have left the island, unable to posses Kelpie, Snakes or the apparently-useless Union Jack. Since The Choir and the symbiote guards are not far ahead, Kelpie summons a wave to carry the three heroes (plus Steve Darwin and Selwyn James) to the Weston-Super-Mare mainland. Viewing the footage of the broken cameras reveals a symbiote sensitivity to electricity. Finding the symbiote troops threatening beachside amusements, Union Jack again leads the attack and, asking Kelpie for a distraction, is almost washed away in a towering wave that levels a rollercoaster and most of the symbiotes. The Choir demands he surrender, threatening a child, and Union Jack drops the sword, pleading with The Choir – Ruth – to remember who she really is. Meanwhile, Darwin tampers with an electrical box and ties the wiring to the sword, throwing it to Jack who plunges it into the water and electrocutes himself, The Choir, and the remaining symbiotes.

As the nation mourns Britannia, the team of Snakes, Kelpie and The Choir surprise Union Jack with the news they’re leaving. While Jack tries to change their mind, they explain they only signed up to help Britannia, and without her they’re not interested. Selwyn James complains that not only was the interview and unveiling ruined, Britain’s most beloved super hero is dead and two popular tourist attractions destroyed, and reveals the true extent of Union Jack’s contract- with Britannia dead, Union Jack is the team’s new leader, and he either gets the team into shape or gets locked up in the Tower of London.
