In my time as a Marvel fan, I haven't been quite as devoted to any other character as much as I have been to Godzilla. And yes, you might be thinking, "But Godzilla was never a Marvel character!" Well, friend, you'd be wrong. Godzilla was allowed to be used in Marvel comics until his licensing rights came to a close, but was still used afterwards. In the time he was used in Marvel Comics before his death in Uncanny X-Men #507, he saved the planet on multiple occasions (not including the Showa Era Godzilla movies, which are considered canon). Despite his heroic capabilities, he was hunted by S.H.I.E.L.D. and had to fight against the Avengers, the Champions of Los Angeles, the Fantastic Four, X-Club, etc. One might comment, "Look at all the destruction he caused, though! He ain't a hero!" Well, friend, might I comment this back: how would you like to be pestered by insects, ALL THE TIME? I imagine you'd not enjoy it, and you would try to get rid of said insects. Thats how he felt. So now, with this knowledge in mind, knowing that Godzilla saved the Earth from Dr. Demonicus, the Monster Menagerie, the Megans, the Mega-Monsters, and the Lizard-Warriors, I hope you understand my opposition as to why Godzilla is a hero, and not mindless, animal-like villain.
