So Marvel's been releasing a new wave of teasers this week, for something called "The Year of the X-Men", or "X-Men in 2011/MMXI". Each features a number of characters, a quote and corresponds with an existing X-title.

We first have X-Men: Legacy. "We will not let our pasts define our futures." Featuring Magneto, Xavier, Rogue, Legion, Gambit, and what appears to be the Age of X Frenzy.

Then we got New Mutants. "We will get them no matter what." Featuring X-Man and Earth-616 Blink seemingly being hunted by Sunspot, Magik, and Dani Moonstar.

Then we got the most intriguing yet: Uncanny X-Force. "We will not let anyone else fall." Featuring the Uncanny X-Force team facing off against...the Age of Apocalypse X-Men, with Magneto, Phoenix, Sunspot, Nightcrawler, Kirika, Silver Samurai, Wild Child, Sabretooth, Rogue, and Gambit.

So...what does it all mean? Legacy seems to be a simple view of what's already been covered in Legacy (well, Legion hasn't really, but maybe that's post-Age of X). The New Mutants hunting X-Man and Blink is...interesting, and maybe that ties into Uncanny X-Force, with the AoA X-Men facing X-Force...but something tells me THAT particular cover is too good to be true. Maybe they're secretly Deathlok X-Men. Or Apocalypse-created X-Men. Or more of Lobe's creations. I'm just not buying that it's really a return of the AoA. But I'm eagerly awaiting Blink's return (while wishing it was the Generation X members hunting her down).

Definitely shows some interesting possibilities for this year. And makes me wonder what Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, and the other X-titles will hold for this year. Need more.
