Uzuri was the capital city of Mbangawi and stronghold of Doctor Crocodile.[1]
History
Ancient History[]
Benefiting of the trade with Arabia and Persia, the coastal cities of Mbangawi arose, among them Uzuri, where were exported gold and ivory.[2]
European Invasions[]
Under the German occupation, since the end of the 19th century, Uzuri was known as the Kaiser's Compound.[2]
When the British took the country from Germany at the end of World War I, they renamed it the Emperor's Compound.[2][3]
Independence[]
In 1961, Samuel N'Dingi led the Independence movement, and established himself as the King at the Emperor's Compound.[2]
Reign of Joshua N'Dingi, the Doctor Crocodile[]
Joshua N'Dingi ruled as well from the Emperor's Compound, where he also used to deliver justice, abducting Jamie Braddock to make him pay for his crimes against humankind and Africa.[1] He was tortured for mystical redemption by Doctor Crocodile and his Witch Woman, until the Technet free him.[4]Residents
