History

Valerie Vector was also known as the superhero Voyager. She was one of the founding members of the Avengers, and went on to become a cherished part of the team, especially since no other founding member had remained on the team uninterruptedly for as long as she did. When the Avengers were forced to battle the Squadron Sinister on behalf of Kang the Conqueror, she was pitted against Victory the Electromagnetic Man in Pisa, Italy. Voyager's portal field reacted with Victory's energo-field in a destructive fashion. While Victory was outright killed as a result, Voyager was erased from existence.

When the Earth was mysteriously abducted from its position in the Solar System many years later, the event jolted Valerie back into existence. Her memory in the mind of her fellow heroes also returned to them.[3] Seeing the world in peril, Voyager's first act was to signal all Avengers available for help, and later convened with them at the Avengers Mansion.[4]
