History

Valerie Cooper was a human who helped smuggle refugees out of Apocalypse's domain on Manhattan Island. When Cyclops began smuggling humans and mutants out of the Slave Pens, he was almost be discovered when he was witnessed by Polaris. In order to prevent being discovered, Cyclops helped free Polaris and turned her over to Valerie Cooper to take to safety.
