History
The Valley of Gates was halfway across the world from Morocco in Asia. It was a stepping stone to countless other worlds. More than a few "learned" men and women used the gates to travel to other worlds. The problem was that the route home wasn't simple, therefore most of those who used the gates never made it back. Despite the dangers with the gates, powerful men fought over the Valley of Gates, and nearly tore everything down. In the end, one man emerged victorious and claimed lordship over the valley, Murderous Lion.[1]

The gate they go through is a Chinese or Japanese style structure or door, but the Valley of Gates also has the ruins of what looks like a stargate of the Ancients from the Stargate SG-1 sci-fi television series.
