The Valley of Peace Institution for the Criminally Insane has been the object of criticism by opponents of the present regime in San Concepcion, who claim it is used to submit political prisoners to detestable living conditions and torture. After she killed two local police officers, Elektra was hospitalized in the asylum. Four months later, she killed a guard and a medical team, shortly before she was to be lobotomized, leading a violent uprising of the inmates and eventually managing to escape.[1]
