History
The Venom symbiote's history was presumably similar to its Earth-616 counterpart up until Spider-Man gave the symbiote up, when Thing came back from space he discovered the symbiote. Thing was seemingly intrigued by the symbiote's life with Mister Fantastic informing Thing that they were studying the symbiote to see what it could do. After an argument between Reed and Ben, the symbiote sensing Ben's hurt and anger made a deal with Ben that if Ben freed it, it would help Ben. Ben did so and the symbiote possessed Ben and turned him back to human form, Reed discovered this and tried to persuade Ben to take off the symbiote, however Ben believed Reed was just jealous that the symbiote found a cure before he did and the two destroyed Reed's sonic gun before jumping out the window. Later on as Ben was walking down the street he spotted The Lizard and Ben and the symbiote attacked Connors in a mixture of the symbiote and Ben's form as the Thing. However the Lizard told Ben that the symbiote was a gift that he should share with everyone and convince Ben and the symbiote to come with him. However this turned out to be a trick and the Lizard stole the symbiote from Ben and bonded with it. [1]
The Lizard then returned to the Baxter Building where the Lizard using the symbiote killed Reed and Invisible Woman with Ben witnessing the death of the former. Lizard while wearing the symbiote tried to convince Ben that this was a good thing and that they could still share his gift. Ben, however, enraged by the death of his friends tackled the Lizard out of the building and took the symbiote back, Ben and the symbiote then killed Connors before roaring in front of the NYPD. [1]
