Synopsis for "Part 1: Are You Ready?"
At the Garden Grand Arena, Doc Sawbones and Crusher Hogan serve as commentators for the U.C.W.F.'s Night of Fights 2024. Reigning champion Symbiote Smith issues a challenge to a free-for-all match that's answered by The Lumberjack, Ken "Caveman" Corrigan, and Gavin "Gator" Grant. As they face off--Gator sureptitiously reminding Symbiote Smith of the match's script--a time portal opens overhead and Eddie Brock, Bedlam, Wilde, and Tyro emerge. Annoyed by Symbiote Smith aping Venom's appearance, Eddie flips the wrestler over his head and effortlessly breaks his arm. Still running commentatry, Doc Sawbones and Hogan urge the audience to evacuate. Tyro takes down Caveman, Wilde defeats the Lumberjack, and Bedlam gleefully crushes Gator's skull. Picking up the dropped microphone, Eddie tells the audience and kayfabe wrestlers to get out and issues a challenge of his own--one to his son Dylan Brock and his former symbiote Venom.
Recalling its life-story, the Venom symbiote laments that all it's ever known is war. It exposits that it was once a loyal soldier to Knull but was exiled from the Symbiote Hive for turning its back on his conquest. Discovered by the Kree in a weakened state, it was bonded to Tel-Kar and fought in the Kree-Skrull War... but that Tel-Kar was a cruel and controlling host, and forced it to do bad things. After being separated from him, it did more bad things it can't and doesn't want to remember, ending up being imprisoned on Battleworld and dragged into the Secret Wars when it bonded to Spider-Man. Unaware of its true nature and history, Spider-Man had said it was "not bad", and the symbiote had been so elated to find a kind host that it had devoted itself to his personal war to protect the innocent. Panicking after discovering its true nature, Spider-Man had rejected and tried to kill it when it would not leave him, but despite that it nearly sacrificed itself to save him and still wore his symbol. After recovering it found Eddie Brock on the brink of committing suicide and gave him purpose in a war of their own, one against Spider-Man. The symbiote insists that its actions were wholly benevolent, intended to save Eddie's life rather than out of jealousy and rage at being rejected, and that it never wanted to actually kill and/or eat Spider-Man... but its actions during those early years tell a different story. Admitting things got... complicated... the Venom symbiote recalls its subsequent hosts--Eddie's ex-wife Anne Weying, wannabe mobster Angelo Fortunatio, supervillain Mac Gargan, bully-turned-soldier-turned-superhero Flash Thompson, and soldier-turned-supervillain Lee Price--whose lives it ruined through its ever-growing rage and bloodlust, leading to many of their deaths. Coming to its most-recent host, Dylan, the symbiote wonders if it's destroyed him yet; noting that Dylan wanted it to be a soldier in his war against Eddie, but that it cannot help or save anyone. Hiding in Peter Parker's closet amidst his clothes and spare costumes, the Venom symbiote waits to die... only to be grabbed by Peter. Distracted by his anger towards Eddie for interrupting the U.C.W.F. match, Peter doesn't notice he's pulling on his Black Suit until it engulfs his body. As he starts to panic, the Venom symbiote manifests a head and tells him not to freak out.
In the sewers, Dylan Brock sits across a campfire from a stranger, saying that he's trying to connect to the Venom symbiote but can't. Wondering if the Venom symbiote learned to hide or if he's subconsciously rejecting his symbiote half, Dylan notes that Carnage showed him everything the Venom symbiote had done to its past hosts before killing him... but that he's somehow still alive--saved by his symbiote half. Dylan recalls being pulled into the Un-Beyond and meeting the Eventuality, who offered to answer five questions. Dylan had asked what would happen if the Venom symbiote reunited with Eddie, and was shown a vision of the Ninth Cosmos, where Eddie and the Venom symbiote--now calling themselves the Anti-All--rampage across the universe in emulation of Knull, threatening to destroy the Multiverse itself if no-one is able to claim the mantle of King in Black from them. Breaking down in tears, Dylan says his next question was how he could stop Eddie, which the Eventuality had said he'd know when he was older. As Dylan asks if he knows what that means, the person he's talking to--a grizzled older version of himself--says that he does and to leave everything to him. Dylan asks if Old Man Dylan is really his future self, and Old Man Dylan says that he is... though it's not much of a future. Old Man Dylan is surprised that Dylan's handling time travel pretty well, which is weird for him since the timestream is overwriting his memories as he changes the past. As Dylan cynically says the part of him that would've been unable to deal with it is dead and that he's learning to adapt to anything, Old Man Dylan says that he wishes it gets easier but that it won't. Stating that the machine he's equipped with is Doomtech and therefore able to actually change the past, Old Man Dylan laments that the timestream is stubborn and the further one goes back the harder it becomes to change things. Surmising that he'll need Young Dylan's help, Old Man Dylan says he's identified three points in history he needs to target, and that if Young Dylan plays his part they'll get a shot at killing the future. As Young Dylan flippantly invokes the "put right what once went wrong" trope, Old Man Dylan angrily asks if he wants Eddie to end up like Knull. Young Dylan exclaims that he doesn't know what he wants, having put together his team to rescue his dad but not even knowing what he'd say to Eddie anymore, lamenting not having asked the Eventuality how to get his father back. Old Man Dylan informs Young Dylan that their dad is already back in the present, but as he starts to warn his younger self to beware of one of his allies Bren Waters and Toxin interrupt. Annoyed, Old Man Dylan time-warps before he's spotted, leaving Young Dylan frustrated that he didn't finish his warning. As Toxin arrives and asks who he was talking to, Dylan says it was himself before asking what Bren wants and is told that Eddie is on TV. As Dylan, Bren, Normie Osborn, Flexo, and Sleeper watch, Eddie and his allies fight off a team of mercenaries who teleported into the arena, Sleeper noting that while Eddie is human the others are symbiotes but fight like they have hosts--the same host. Dylan grimly confirms this, saying they're all Eddie Brock. Watching the fight, Bren opines that Dylan should stay where it's safe, but Dylan refuses--protesting that he gathered them to help stop Eddie. Bren interrupts, saying that Venom gathered them but that without the symbiote Dylan isn't Venom anymore, adding that even if Dylan could fight Eddie he doesn't have the means of putting him down.
At Alchemax Tower, Liz Allan convenes her board of directors to discuss the ongoing situation--saying they should act to contain Eddie rather than kill him. As she demands to know who sent the mercenary squad in, one of the board members says that with Spearhead dead they're short on in-house options. Carlton Drake, one of the board members after Alchemax's hostile takeover of the Life Foundation, smugly says that their CEO has resources of her own she's keeping close to her chest, Liz telling him to keep his mouth shut. Smirking, Drake says he'd never overstep and knows who his boss is... and with that in mind calls in "Mister Meridius", a special consultant with a unique insight into the problem at hand. Entering in human form, Meridius smirks and says that he's been studying Eddie for a very long time and knows him as well as he knows himself. Meridius reveals he was responsible for the K-43 chemical leak that Noname had rallied to expose, pulling out a canister containing a sample of black ooze he introduces as Chemical K-44, saying it's an improvement on the original formula to which he added a secret ingredient and that it will win the Venom War.
Slumped on Peter's chair, the Venom symbiote finishes filling him in on everything that's been going on, saying that that Eddie and Dylan are better off without it. Peter points out that if Dylan's going to answer Eddie's challenge he'd be safer with Venom, but the symbiote refuses, saying that Dylan knows every evil thing it's ever done and that it won't ruin his life any more than it already has. As it asks Peter to save Eddie and Dylan in its place, lamenting that all it can do is destroy, Peter says it would be easier if that was the case. Saying that the Venom symbiote isn't a bloodthirsty monster anymore and that if it ever was so alien as to not know what good and evil are it's long-since learned, Peter says that he knows from seeing it in action with Flash and even Eddie that it's capable of doing the right thing and being a hero. Saying that it's faced with the choice to do good, to do evil, even to do nothing, Peter says that these choices are part of living, and that choosing how to live is the only power any of them have. Reiterating that with power comes responsibility, Peter urges the Venom symbiote to take responsibility for its mistakes and choose to be better, holding out his hand to it as it tears up.
Outside the Garden Grand Arena, a pair of SWAT police watch the mercenaries being evacuated on stretchers and complain about the lack of intervention from the Avengers or Fantastic Four. Sleeper streaks past them, one of the officers spotting it out of the corner of his eye but dismissing it as an optical illusion. Inside the arena, Tyro senses Sleeper's presence, though Wilde notes he can't see anything. Eddie applauds Sleeper's mastery of camouflage, the chemokinetic symbiote revealing it brought Normie, Bren, Flexo, and Dylan. Standing, Dylan asks if they're going to talk things out or fight. Relieved to see Dylan is safe, Eddie smiles and says they've got all the time in the world, saying that he's back to stay for good but needs to take the Venom symbiote back. Watching from the announcers table, Sawbones is incredulous at a group of kids getting involved, Hogan sipping his coffee and saying they're not much younger than Spider-Man was when they fought before going to commercial. Dylan says that he can't give the Venom symbiote back, Eddie warning him of the dark future that awaits if they stay bonded--the Venom symbiote spreading to infest every living being on the Earth and eventually subsuming the planet itself to become Venomworld. Dylan reveals that he no longer has the Venom symbiote, Eddie furiously demanding why it would abandon their son before asking Dylan how he could just let it leave. Accusing him of being a hypocrite, Dylan snaps that he hasn't seen Eddie in months and is living on the street, and the last time he saw Eddie he was Bedlam and tried to kill him. Dylan shouts that Eddie has no right to act like his father and then ask for the Venom symbiote back when he's seen all the horrible things they did together. Eddie is shocked that the Venom symbiote told Dylan everything and then asks where it is.
Arriving on the scene, Spider-Man--sporting a new Black Suit appearance--says that the Venom symbiote is with him and is in good hands.

Synopsis for "Venom Horse, Part 1"
Escaping containment at an Alchemax laboratory, Venom Horse--a horse bonded to a sample of the Venom symbiote--rampages while waxing philosophical by comparing Jean Baudrilliard's Simulacra and Simulation to the ongoing crisis of the Venom War. Spider-Man embodies the first stage--a "reflection of a profound reality"--by being a superhero with relatable human problems like social anxiety and overdue bills. As Venom, Eddie Brock embodies the second stage--an unfaithful copy that "masks and denatures" the reality of the first stage--by being a muscle-bound jock with no accountability for his own wrongdoings, who rejects responsibility and lashes out as a Dark Spider-Man. As the child of the Venom symbiote and King in Black, Dylan Brock embodies the third stage--pretending to be a faithful copy but with no true representation of the original reality taking place. As it tramples and devours the scientists, Venom Horse concludes that the fourth stage--a pure simulacrum with no relation to the original reality whatsoever, is embodied by itself.
