History

Victor von Doom's history seemingly mirrors his mainstream counterpart's history up to the point King Loki completely wiped out humankind to make his brother Thor suffer.[4]

With the legacy powers

Doom apparently survived humankind's destruction and - seeking to obtain the powers of the prehistoric Avengers for himself - augmented himself with the Starbrand, Iron Fist, the Eye of Agamotto and Cloak of Levitation, and a Spirit of Vengeance - effectively making him a god and enabling him to survive for eons. When All-Father Thor and his granddaughters restored life to Earth, Doom chose to return to Earth to conquer it. He sent out his servants Goom, Fin Fang Foom, Monstrom, and Gorgilla to announce his arrival. Thor's granddaughters fought most of the monsters as Doom made his appearance.[2] Outraged that what had once been his homeland of Latveria had been turned into a garden, Doom decided to raze it all to the ground and purge the Earth of humans, but the Goddesses of Thunder tried to stop him.

Thor and Phoenix arrived before Doom could kill the Goddesses of Thunder, but Doom - intent on claiming the Phoenix Force, Mjolnir, and the Power of the All-Father for himself - immolated Phoenix with hellfire and incapacitated Thor with a Penance Stare. Resurrecting, Logan infused the Phoenix Force into Mjolnir, sacrificing himself to transfer it to Thor - who tackled Doom through the Earth's crust and into its mantle. Phoenix-Thor and Doom fought for ninety-nine years, setting off massive earthquakes and volcanic eruptions - but in the end Thor emerged victorious and all that was left of Doom was his mask.[5]

As a living planet

At some point afterward, Doom somehow returned and became a living planet. Under the influence of Mephisto, Doom battled the Avengers in Earth's orbit.[1] He later became a servant of Doom Supreme of the Multiversal Masters of Evil and served as his base of operations.[6] Doom Supreme's army of Doom variants attacked the God Quarry after the Masters of Evil (barring Doom Supreme) were defeated.[7][8] Doom the Living Planet destroyed Infinity Tower, but was pummelled by Avengers and half-eaten by honorary Avenger Galactus, before being obliterated by Mephisto.[9] His remains were briefly reassembled by the All-Rider to plug up a hole in the God Quarry but it was quickly destroyed by the power flowing through.[10]
