History

Victor lived in a gypsy camp and his father Werner was a healer who healed people for free.[1]

Victor von Doom (Earth-534834) from Fantastic Four (1994 animated series) Season 1 9

Werner was kidnapped and had to flee with his son after failing to cure a baron's daughter. The harsh winter cost him his life and Victor decided to take revenge on everyone after his father died. He studied his father's books and created miraculous objects that did not work for wealthy men. He was sentenced to be executed, although he was saved because one of his robots was shot. He entered a university where he met Reed Richards and then carried out an experiment which went wrong and hurt his face. He traveled to Tibet where he was received by monks and later built his armor.[2]

Doctor Doom captured the Fantastic Four and forced Mister Fantastic, Human Torch, and the Thing to go back in time and obtain an object for him.[3]

He later steals the Silver Surfer's powers and tries to steal Galactus' powers, only to be thwarted by the planet devourer himself[4].

He struck at a powerless FF and had his hand crushed by the Thing[5].

He directed the Hulk to attack the team[6].

He again acquired the Power Cosmic and once again, tried to go after Galactus only to hit the barrier that prevents the Silver Surfer from leaving Earth<ref>In the series finale, "Doomsday".[7]

Doom held Washington, D.C. captive, only to be defeated by She-Hulk, whom he later attempted to claim revenge.[8]

Notes

  • Voiced by the late John Vernon and Neil Ross in season one and by Simon Templeman in season two.
  • When he once again acquired the Power Cosmic in the series finale, Mr. Fantastic tricked him into leaving Earth's atmosphere, and his powers were given back to the Surfer. Although the team speculated that he may have been killed in this event, his appearances in later episodes indicated that he survived; presumably, losing Surfer's powers allowed him to get back to Earth and escape.
