The Vilayet Pirates, also known as the Red Brotherhood or the Free Brotherhood were the loose federation of pirate crews active on the Vilayet Sea, the inland sea dominated by Turan. Conan unified the Red Brotherhood as a weapon against King Yezdigerd's Turan, while also allying with the Kozaks. Despite sharing the name, it is unclear whether or not the Vilayet Pirates are a branch of the contemporary Red Brotherhood, the federation of the pirate crews of the Hyborian Kingdoms, active on the Western Sea.
