Dr. Vincent Gross was a genetic researcher working for the American government. Considered a genius, albeit with rogue tendencies, his funding was cut when it was revealed he was experimenting on infant humans. Unable to find employment after this, Gross was forced underground, using common street thugs to steal the funding for his research.
