History
Following the Funeral of Tony Stark, Wanda Maximoff went to the S.W.O.R.D. Headquarters which contained the remains of Vision bent on providing a proper burial. Upon arrival, she discovered that the technicians were disassembling her beloved's body. Destitute, Wanda left to visit a plot of land in Westview NJ that Vision had picked out for the two of them to live in.[2]
Unable to contain her grief, Wanda used her abilities to conjure "The Hex" around the small town as well as creating an entirely separate instance of Vision who, despite not containing his old memories and being unable to exist outside of Westview, shared the personality of the original Vision and his affection for Wanda,[2] being created from the aspect of the Mind Stone that persisted within her.[3]
Throughout the following days the new Vision investigated the strange happenings in the town and confronted his wife with his findings.[4] When the effort proved fruitless he attempted to escape the bubble, pleading with the S.W.O.R.D. agents on site to help save Westview’s residents.[5]
After Wanda expanded the bubble to ensure Vision couldn’t escape, Vision began to make his way back home with the help of Darcy Lewis, learning the history that he and Wanda shared in his previous incarnation, including his two deaths. Eventually he decided to forego the formalities of traveling with Darcy and took to the skies to reach his home as soon as possible.[6]
He arrived just in time to save Wanda from the original Vision, who was rebooted by S.W.O.R.D. without his memories or personality, with the goals to take both Wanda and the new Vision out. The two Visions fought until Wanda's Vision engaged his counterpart in a discussion. The two reached an understanding, with the new Vision restoring the original Vision's memories, who then took off.[3]
As Wanda decided to gradually bring the Hex down, she and Vision went back to their home with their kids, where after tucking them to sleep they said goodbyes to one another, with the new Vision ceasing to exist.[3]Attributes
