History
Vision's story was the same as his Earth-199999 counterpart until Janet Van Dyne was infected by a virus from the Quantum Realm, Janet infected her husband Hank Pym when he tried to take her out of the Quantum Realm which resulted in the spread of the virus around the world.
Vision, being an android, is unable to turn into a zombie and zombies have an aversion to the Mind Gem. During the Zombie invasion, Wanda was zombified and because he was unable to kill her, he took her to Camp Lehigh to hold her captive and also to establish his base of operations there. In an attempt to find a cure, he captured Scott Lang and experimented on him until he was cured of his zombie state, he tried to cure Wanda but due to her powers she resisted being cured so to keep her "alive", Vision lured several survivors to his camp to feed his beloved and sometimes went himself in search of food where he found T'Challa who was not infected.
Some time later, Vision was visited by a group of survivors who were his former teammates plus others who were: Bucky Barnes, Peter Parker, Bruce Banner, Okoye and Kurt who received his signal, told them about his research on the virus and that the Mind Gem could cure zombies if exposed to its frequencies by showing Scott Lang's cured head, Okoye suggested that the group should go to Wakanda to promote Vision's work and apply his methods to everyone so Bucky went for a ride.
When Bucky tried to find a transport, he found T'Challa (still alive) who was used as food for Wanda and Bruce realized that the signal they received was also received by other survivors who were already feeding Wanda. Vision later told Banner that he wished he had not found him and was confronted by the others for his actions. The survivors were surprised by an unleashed Wanda who killed Kurt and tried to kill the others, Banner asked Vision to let them escape. Vision created an opening through the building that allowed an escape and destroyed the base to temporarily stop Wanda, being unable to leave Wanda and for the actions he has done he decided to remove the gem from his head that ended up killing him.[1]Attributes
