Synopsis for "The Villainy You Teach Me"

Following the incident at the Kinzky house, Leon has fallen into a coma. The police have no leads on a culprit, and neighbors have pitched in sympathy for him. At his hospital room, Virginia is shown watching him forlornly. A coroner, meanwhile, performs an autopsy on Chris, ruling his death a homicide. Meanwhile, the other Visions continue on with their day in obliviousness: Vision fights alongside the Avengers, Vin listens to his teacher read a passage from The Merchant of Venice, and Viv rips out a page of a yearbook with Chris’s picture on it before phasing away.

At night, Vision is visited by Matthew Lin, an Arlington homicide detective. He asks Vision to come to the station, but Vision is suspicious. Virginia comes to check on the matter, and Vision decides to go with Lin. Virginia returns to the table, and tries to continue her conversation with the children, but she begins stuttering and repeating her words. She then notices the children’s concern, only to angrily slam her fist on the table, shattering it. Viv, holding back her emotions, runs away in tears at this, while Vin remains and asks Virginia if he would bleed if someone were to prick him, referencing the earlier quote he listened to.

At the police station, Vision recounts the 37 times when he saved the world in his head. He refuses to give Lin his records, but does provide an alibi. As Lin brings up Chris, the conversation suddenly shifts to Vin, whom Lin suspects having a motive due to their altercation. After providing Vin an alibi as well, Vision gets irritated at Lin’s line of questioning and begins to leave. However, Lin persists, asking where the rest of his family were. Vision lies and says they were all there, an action the narrator calls irredeemable despite the times he saved the world.

Vision returns home to find Virginia sitting on a chair facing the broken table. Virginia says she doesn’t know how to fix the table, and Vision (appearing to ignore her stuttering) says he will fix it tomorrow. He then departs, leaving Virginia to sit over the table and repeat that she doesn’t know how to fix it.
