History
The woman who became Volcana Ash was captured by the Martian Masters alongside her sister, Melonie, and the pair were taken to the Death-Birth facility. Melanie was taken to become an "Eve" (a breeding slave) and Volcana was experimented on with an unknown radiation which triggered her transformation. Using her newly found powers she escaped but was being stalked by the Death Breeders.[1]
Volcana encountered Killraven and the Freemen when they were trying to attack the Death-Birth facility.[2] She joined with them in raiding and destroying the facility. She tried to reunite with her sister once she was freed but Melonie's memories of the past had been wiped out by the Masters, and she didn't recognize Volcana.[3] Volcana stayed with the group and help kill Atalon and when Eve 3,031 and Adam 3,031 had their daughter Volcana decided to stay and protect them and help again find her sister. Upon leaving she and Killraven had a romantic embrace.[4]
Much later, she rejoined the Freemen and during a mission, she and Mint Julep were captured by the Martians, Overlord Omega and the Extractor. The Extractor was used to obtain information that led to the capture of Killraven, the Freeman, and Black Cat and Wolverine of the Prime Marvel Universe.[5] After Wolverine escaped he freed the rest. While he took out the Overlord, Volcana destroyed the Extractor.[6]See Also
