History
A talented athlete and martial artist, Wade Wilson joined the US Army Special Forces as soon as he was old enough to leave home, but was kicked out for refusing to follow orders that didn't align with his moral code. Following a subsequent spell as a globetrotting mercenary assassin, Wade was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer and volunteered for the Canadian government's Weapon X program, which was attempting to imbue a regular human with Wolverine's mutant healing factor. The procedure was considered a success; Wade's healing factor heals him more quickly than cancer can kill him, but since his cancerous cells can never die, his body is permanently covered in welts and scars.
Aside from his superhuman healing factor, Deadpool is known for being unstable and unpredictable, loving Mexican food, and frequently breaking the fourth wall with an endless supply of witty banter. Deadpool is fully aware that he's in a video game, having successfully campaigned to join the Midnight Suns on social media by promising everything from katana skills and ninja reflexes to zany quips and a mean pancake recipe.Trivia
