A walking thorntree were sent to attack a caravan; minutes later, Conan reached the battlefield and found all the men dead.[1] They are created by dark magic, fed by the life essences of the dead and bonded by gold. They were conjured against the war band gathered by the leaders of Kyof's Grove.[2] Blerun and Dreldan fought them until they gave up their unnatural life.[3]
