Red 9 seemingly had a similar history as his Earth-616 counterpart. Wallace was later recruited into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Spider-Men and trained under the Spider-Force. As their final test, he and Bombshell were sent to apprehend Baal and his Shadow Clan. They were to late; however, as the Shadow Clan unleashed the Demon, Ichor. Wallace initially fled, but was sent back into the field by Spyder-Man. It appeared that Red 9 was able to defeat Ichor, but in reality, he became possessed by the demon.[1]
