Synopsis for "War Devil"
An United States Army soldier reflects on the time he worked security detail in a Somali refugee camp while raiding a Taliban base in Afghanistan. Stating that when he was in Somalia he met a kid who had been a child soldier who seemed to have yellow eyes and would replay the sounds of gunfire in his head, and how other children and medical staff would keep their distance. How they believed the child was infected with the "jinni dagaal" or "war devil". That the war devil was a creation of a hunting party that entered and desecrated a sacred grove which caused a spirit to become enraged and enter the body of one of the hunters which it in turn used to slaughter the other hunters. Shaman tried to exorcise the spirit but it wouldn't leave and it was only after the host of the spirit died and covered it's blood in another that it would leave and jump into them to continue its reign. So according to the nurse in Somalia that told him that story that is what she believes is where war comes from.
While thinking back on this story the soldier continues to make his raid on the Taliban base, killing many of it inhabitants including a child and a woman with yellow eyes who's blood splatters on him after she pulls out a grenade that's shot causing it to explode. The soldier is evacuated back to the helicopter where he is seen to have obtained yellow eyes.
